HEC Indigenous PhD Scholarships to do PhD & Masters/MPhil leading to PhD at Pakistani Universities and Institutions Spring/Fall 2019 Sessions are now Open for applications Phase-II Batch-VI
Last Date To apply: 28 March, 2020
For MS/MPhil, you must have 16 years of education completed on 28th March 2020.
For PhD, you must have completed MS/ MPhil on 28th March 2020.
Students will be required to enroll in HEC verified Masters/MPhil, PhD degree awarding Universities and Institutions
** Candidates who are currently enrolled in PhD in Pakistani Universities/Institutions can also apply. But if they have been enrolled in MS/PhD program before Spring 2018 Semester, they Cannot apply.
Candidates who are enrolled in MS/MPhil or PhD must apply in the respective category with complete enrollment details of their MPhil or PhD degree.The merit of each category will be calculated separately.The candidates who have completed Bachelors/16 years qualification or MS/MPhil/18 years qualification must submit application in their respective categories.
** If you take admission in MS/ MPhil, you will get the scholarship upto PhD. So, you will complete MS/MPhil first and then PhD on this scholarship.
Q:- Can a Scholar work/undertake any employment while taking HEC Scholarship ?
Ans. No, the Scholar has to be a full time student and he/she cannot undertake any job. In case of employee he/she has to take study leave for the duration of his/her studies.
Q: - What is the Eligibility Criteria for this Scholarship?
Ans:-
a) Pakistani/AJK National
b) For MS/MPhil, the candidates must have minimum of 16 years of education with no 3rd division or Grade D in degree/certificate in the entire academic career.
c) Candidates applying for direct PhD scholarships must have minimum CGPA 3.0(out of 4.0)/CGPA:3.75 (out of 5) in the semester system) or first division (in the annual system) in MS/MPhil/Equivalent degree is required along with the condition mentioned above in clause (b).
d) Maximum age at the closing date of application.
i. 40 years for full-time regular faculty members of public sector university/DAIs and regular employee of the public sector/R&D organizations
ii. 35 years for all others.
e) The candidates who are already availing any other HEC/Government Scholarship/ previous batches awardees are NOT eligible to apply.
