Irrigation Department has requested Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) to recruit 136 suitable candidates against vacant seats of Zilladar in Basic Scale 14.

Minimum Qualification

As per Punjab Irrigation Department Recruitment Rules, 2019, the minimum qualification required for the posts of ZilladarBS-14, is as under:

Graduation BA/ BSc (2nd Division) from a recognized University Or BSc Agriculture (2nd Division) from a recognized University.
Minimum Experience: Nil
Age: 21 to 28 years
Gender: Male/famals
Domicile Eligibility: Only Punjab domiciled candidates can apply.

Syllabus for Zilladar Exam / Test

100 Marks MCQs based on General Knowledge including English, Current Affairs, Pak Affairs, Everyday Science, Basic Mathematics, Islamiat.

Zilladar Job Description

Zilladar is responsible for collection of revenue of Canal Water usage by the farmers of his area. He is also responsible for resolution of disputes relating to water usage and allied matters of his area of jurisdiction.

Zilladar Salary Package

Salary of Zilladar is equal to Basic Pay Scale 14 along with allowances as admissible to other Punjab Government Employees. An estimated salary of Zilladar is Rs. 28387/- per month including allowances.

Zilladar Promotion / Career Scope

Step 1:Zilladar is eligible for promotion as Deputy Collector in Basic Scale 17 upon passing of a Departmental Examination.

Step 2: Deputy Collector, Basic Scale 17, is eligible for promotion as Canal Collector in Basic Scale 18 after completion of 05 years service.

Step 3: Canal Collector, Basic Scale 18, is eligible for promotion as Collector in Basic Scale 19 on selection cum seniority upon completion of 12 years service in BS 17 & above.
